Humble Walk is rounding the corner on an incredible year. For five years, Humble Walk has been welcoming people into community by hosting ice cream socials, celebrating our artists, playing kickball in the park, holding Beer and Hymns and Theology Pub nights at Shamrock's Pub, helping one another with home repairs, throwing great parties, inviting the most vulnerable to lead and gathering for weekly worship. This year, we invited some of our singer/songwriter artists-in-residence to write songs for Humble Walk worship. They were so stinkin' good that we needed to share them with the world. So, we put out a compilation CD called Storm Home. It's been out just a few months, and we have sent out hundreds across the country. Through Bandcamp, over 100 people have downloaded it and its had over 2000 plays. (Want in on the action? Follow the link on our website). We sent one of our beloved leaders, Justin Rimbo, off to seminary. We welcomed new faces into community. We celebrated baptisms, sobriety, teeth lost and gained, births, deaths and new life. We have witnessed Christ raising the dead again. And again. And again.
In order to end the year debt free, we are going to raise $10,000. Chump change! We all know that financial strain gets in the way of creativity. Let's head into 2014 free of this debt so that we might focus all our energy on creating community, art, events and gatherings where people might connect with one another and with God who is absolutely for us.
Like incentives? The first 50 people to give $100 or more will receive an original piece from one of our Humble Walk artists.
