Bread #3, the final loaf.

Okay, I'm giving my new favorite book back tonight. So, here is the last quote from a Mixed-Up Blessing by Barbara Glasson. "Mysteriously, as we let go of the great missionary quest to bring people in to the church, we at Somewhere Else found that the church has begun to approach us. Sometimes I look at the 20 people sitting around our breadmaking table and think to myself, 'I haven't the first idea where you lot came from but I'm very pleased you are here!' God has offered us his church as a gift."

Do you know how much I love her? Sheesh. I understand that this book will never be on the church's best seller list. Basically because membership numbers are such a temptation. So how many worshippers? It's the first question we church leaders ask one another. It's how we measure success or failure. My new response is: All of them. Go on--ask me...
