Bikes, Drums, Sheep

This is the time of year that we as Humble Walk move a great deal of our energy outside. Wherever people gather--that's where we want to be. Not in some manipulative conversion scheme--but in a present and active in our community sort of way--with a heavy dose of trust in the incarnation. First on the agenda: Blessing of the Bicycles. Next Saturday, we gather at Adam's Park for prayers and free bike tune-ups. The Wild Wed leaders will be on hand with a kid obstacle course. Bike your wheels on over for a wheely good time. 3PM, May 1.

Looking for fame and complimentary free trade coffee? HW has been asked to drum for the opening worship at our Synod Assembly, Friday, May 21. Heart of the Beast puppets (and their spotters), our drummers, and 500 wild Lutherans singing The Work of God (Nate Houge). We need you in our drum circle! For rehearsal and other info, contact Nate at nate@natehouge.com.  Opening worship begins at 8:30AM--so you can head to work afterwards.

Sheep. This Sunday is Good Shepherd Sunday. Rachel Kurtz returns for another delightful round of rowdy resurrection in song. Get to know baby Lucy Kurtz May--we are going to baptize her in a few weeks at HW. (And make all sorts of promises to her).
