Blue Hands, Warm Community

Hi Humble Walk community (some near, some far, some barely), This week, we had an all-time high of Wild Wed's folks. We spend every Wednesday AM playing in our backyard. On Tuesday, my daughter and I walked through the neighborhood--extending invitations to come and tie dye the next morning. Man oh man, did we tie dye. I imagine you'll see a few of us in these fabulous creations in the coming weeks. I also think you will see the dye on my hands for a long, long time. The whole point of Wild Wed's is to build community...and certainly community tie dying is a place to begin.

We will continue this theme of relationship building into worship. We are deep into the liturgical season of Pentecost...a season of green and growth. It is the Holy Spirit who gathers us...and then it is up to us to continue the deepening of these sometimes awkward, usually beautiful relationships.

If tie dye and Play-Dough are the means to this (along with...say, the Word, Sacraments)...so be it.
